Stuck In the Gap

I am anywhere, I am everywhere, and most of the time I am nowhere. I am silent, I am loud, and most of the time I am not heard I am the wall behind the flower, the space between things I am the budding sunflower, I am the shrinking violet I am the one you look to, but do not look at I am the water that quenches your thirst and rusts your metals I am the friend you call when you need, and the one forgotten when meals are shared I have the advice you need when asked, and my wisdom is unwanted I am hated for my love, and loved for my hate I am something, I am everything, I am nothing I am in between, stuck in the gap
