Stuck In a Snow Globe With You

I am stuck in a Snow Globe with you And there is nothing on earth I can do How did I get here; I haven’t a clue More importantly, who the hell are you I remember one evening after downing a few In the corner you sat dressed in black, legs askew But how did we get here, please tell me; who knew Trapped inside a Snow Globe forever we two There is somebody shaking this Globe; what to do We are flung all around, snowflakes drifting anew I’m feeling quite bilious and beginning to spew and gazing at you I see you puking too We comfort each other, what else can we do As slowly we smile and we sit for a while We talk of our lives, full of trouble and strife The agro, the stress, maybe life here is best Now known as the couple who live in the Globe We are on view to all in our brand new abode But safe and secure no more worries or trouble Together forever in our Snowy Globe bubble 2nd December 2018 Competition: Christmas Cheer – Stuck in a Snow Globe with you Sponsor: Kim Rodriques 2nd placement Contest Strand Choice X Sponsor Brian Strand

When the snowglobe was shaken, your imagery made me think of an earthquake, Ann. What a witty poem! Congratulations on your win in Kim's contest. Best wishes, Carolyn

I would not have wanted to see the snowglobe spewing. They relax in the end to enjoy their bubble. Congrats, Ann, on your win in my contest! <3 Kim

This is darling! It can be taken in a really serious way - how two people together are "us against the rest of them", or as a really whimsical, magical fantasy poem. I prefer to take it as both.

Haha, thanks Caren I like your take and yes I can see what you mean. I myself love snow globes and my latest purchase is a beautiful golden tree surrounded with golden fairy dust - exquisite when gently shaken! Kindest thoughts Ann x
