Strong Shadows

This thick dark tunnel is around me but I can see specs of light & hope through the cracks of the dark tunnel My heart is familiar with this light But the darkness is so heavy It tears my mind and my flesh to pieces The light that my heart knows is swallowing the darkness My suicidal depression is lifting It’s flaming claws are being pulled violently from my flesh It’s paralyzing fear,is no more A new feeling arises called hope Unshackled by the light of the world...

This is an excellent poem. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel and it should get brighter. Congratulations on being featured. Great job! Joseph
