Striving Onward
Striving Onward…
Cascading meandering rivers
flow toward destination.
Drunken promises—
painful hangovers
of political rain checks.
Lingering dreams—
unforgotten nightmares
teasing hope.
Every u-turn
is not necessarily
a change in destination.
Meander if we will; but
must purpose.
Bewildered
Bleeding
Blind justice
holds her waning breath
A tortuous journey
yet flows towards destination.
