Strived Success

There are times
When our conscience chimes
Reminding us of where we are
Digging up that one olds scar.

We tend to flee
'Cuz that's our only route to glee
But conscience turns out to be a *****
And follows us without a glitch.

Life seems wrecked
Because we become vexed
Trying to set things right
We with our inner self fight.

Or inner self can prove
To be the worst enemy in the Grove
Denying access to our own abilities
It can threaten us with grave possibilities.

We would then understand
Where exactly it is that we stand
Realisation chooses to dawn in the worst possible way
Making us wish we hadn't woken up to this day.

Stepping upon ourselves we drive
As it is success that we strive.
