Strength and Love

My new tattoo means more to me
Than anyone will ever know
It doesn't matter that it's hidden
More often than on show

My tattoo it is a special one
It defines both strength and love
That has helped to save my father
From being taken up above

The support and love from everyone
Helped pick us up when things were bad
But what surprised us most of all
Was the strength that came from dad

He fought the odds and beat them
Even though it took a while
He spent eleven weeks in hospital
Sure determination was his style

Now dad is home where he belongs
My festive wish came true at last
I have my daddy home for Christmas
And this year we'll have a blast

(For my superdad)

What a tribute to your dad's fighting spirit and to your unbounded love for hm...Takes me back a ways to the days when my daughter and were inseparable, our souls bound up, each in the other. Thanks, Jule! :) gw
