Streets of Dismay

Dark Cold tomorrow today
Hungry starving never eating okay.
Stealing and violence now the only way
Life of rage has now betrayed
Emptiness inside makes you afraid
Time to change has run away
What you find creates dismay
Shadows moving make you pay
Day by day body is creeping
Head hangs down and your barley weeping

Dark Cold tomorrow today
Your choice to live this way.

This is truly a sad state of living, James. Yet, it is reality for many. We can all do a little no matter where we live to begin about some change. Bless your heart for feeling this and sharing your poem with us. Blessings to you for the coming year! Always, Audrey
