Notes About The Poem

Streetfighter

Get beat up in a street fight,
yeah, that's life.

Win the lead part in a play..
well hey, that's life too..

then someday comes to pass..,

Find someone that moves you..
deep in a place you never new existed.

Even better, they had that place too,
same as you.

You can heal from a street fight.,
there will always be another play.

(sound of glass breaking, horns blaring, whatever fits)

Losing that special someone..

You never can quite
get past it, seems. I don't think it was meant
to be easy to replace, those dark eyes..
Like a toe.., or an arm.

Moral of this story.., who knows.
Seemed so easy to let them in,
yet so hard to walk away..

I know its easy to get involved, hard to say goodbye, that is why many never bother, but it hurts when they do. Nicely penned with much heart felt lines, thankyou Richard, :)
