Streams of Thought (Shadow Sonnet)

Dreams come and go, and still we dream
Streams of thought churn in sleep's stream
going further than souls should go.
This if only with what if this
is impossible now that love is,
no my heart will forever know.

Will love now go where I have willed?
Fill my dreams; are your own fulfilled?
Turn back time to passion's return
finding peace in love's treasured find
kindly soul who touched my heart's kind
spurned by thoughts I can never spurn.

Senses are yearning as incense
burns; so intense the feelings burn
