Stream of the Soul

I sit down in the cold stream.
My troubles have taken their toll, and as spring makes its appearance, I look upon my other self.

My old self I lost
Ages ago it seems

This calming stream. Relaxing, this stream

Sitting here, this chilly stream
Seems to slow my pacing heart, my wonder seems to wander away
"This water is cold" is all I seem to focus on

Sun may set while sitting in this cool stream
But that doesnt bother me in this moment
I can garuntee everyone knows why

My troubles have disappeared, you see
My pacing heart has calmed it seems
And as the sun sets with me sitting in this icy stream
The water chills my body still
In the warmth that is my new soul
