Stray Girl

When you were a stray-

You stayed silent, except to fight.

When you were found-

You turned gentle, but not helpless.

Each memory has been kind to us.

But a future of devastation was promised.

When we lost you-

We stayed silent, except to fight.

When we remember you-

We turn gentle, but not helpless.

When we go astray...

When you were a stray.
