Stray Dog In the War Zone

Burning and blazing meteors fell on my right and left
Is it from heaven or hell, why can’t they spare me just?
Searching for food I came, not for this war I detest!

This is a very powerful three lines, Jenish, and you used your phrasing to its thorough potential - wonderful write and congrats! (It reminds of one of the first pieces I wrote here, which ended up having a college course taught around it, about a war orphan trying to survive on the road between Raqqa and Demascus. It is called "Travel Light" if you're interested, though it is a long piece). This is great stuff! :o)
