Stray Cat

I’m the lost soul at your door, Little face Beady eyes Cautious pace My hair has thinned, To strands of lace. I’ve never been loved, The love is gone, I have been abused, Left on your lawn. I am misunderstood, Mistaken for a threat, I have been scarred, I hold regret. I’m the lost soul at your door. A stray cat, no less, no more.
