Strawberry Sherbert

I had strawberry sherbert dreams
   until they got sidestepped by
     melancholy chocolate cake.

My dreams shattered like crumpled
                 pie toppings.
Now I have no desire for sweets.

Good one. I got a chuckle but of course pain from a heartbreak isn't funny. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

It's cute the way "sweet dreams" ruined your appetite for goodies. Wish this would happen to me :) Cute poem, Alexis! Hugs, Carolyn
