Straw Hat Brown Back River Thoughts
Chewing lazily on golden times,
My eyes awash with sparkling blue thoughts.
My elbow resting, not hanging,
On my tanned, brown knee,
Firm but smooth
Through hard days of fruitful labour.
I look towards the worms, and
My toes show me thumbs up.
I grin and glance to the sun,
Heavenly white pillows,
Lie of resting times and come
Ever closer as I grin, I hear
A swallow.
The distance draws my eye,
Like dry fields draw the water,
From my every living thing.
On my ocean blue eye,
I know everything,
And yet don’t know a thing.
