Strangers Again

I went and let it happen again
So foolish I am, I let you in
There you were with your claws sharpened
ready to take the kill
And here I come my heart at will
When will I ever learn?
Your hurtful ways and how they burn
A part of me is so filled with anger
Here we are back to be strangers
Remorse, shame and weak human nature is to blame
Now I have been put down and discarded like a toy
And you’re feeling so smart because my feelings are destroyed
Don’t worry I shall overcome
Then you’ll be the lonely one

It takes courage to walk away. Some things never change. God Bless. Vince

Laura, its sad that so many sound possible relationships suddenly end thus making one give up on ever finding and having the right partner through life. True Love can build a strong foundation whereas lust builds nothing more than waste. I commend you for a sad heartfelt poem for your readers to savor from you. Wonderful Job Laura. MPK

Some people can be so hurtful. It's a shame we have to watch not to let our guard down with some. I have been there. So sorry for your hurt. Love, Shar
