Strangers
I remember when we were preparing for a future with you.
Where you were a kitten.
And we were strangers to you.
But now-
We are strangers to you again.
As you are just so confused.
We must prepare for a past with you.
As we cast a ring of light ahead for you…
The frenzied look leaves your eyes.
I remember when you used to hide from us.
I can see now…
That you are simply hiding again.
