Strangers

The years have easily slipped by
plans long ago, laid to rest
those moments and memories of you and me
that now can never be retrieved.
Lovers for that youthful moment
  pleasure for the asking
nothing more important given and taken
  between two familiar strangers
living in the time remaining
  still together.
