Strange Mistress

Life is a strange mistress.
She'd throw you lovers
Yet she'd wrap them in distress.
She'd send storms of destruction
To show you peace.
Every painful caress
A masterful seduction.
She was the most amazing work of art,
Her beauty without parallel,
Yet with a glance she'd tear you apart.
Life was the most difficult vixen.
She was my most contradiction addiction.
