Strange Fruit

small strange nuts and seeds
fall down from the trees
onto the ground below
eaten by prey and washed away
stepped on and smashed 
some kept down  and mashed
find their way on the earth
for another day
those to rise up 
and be free 
in the form of 
a great big tree
