Strange and Magical Lifetime

Strange and magical lifetime
By Michelle Morris

I have so many stories to tell
Of a strange and magical lifetime
And of craziness and hell
That I have somehow survived

Sometimes I look back and wonder
Could some of this even be real
Because it seems beyond comprehension
Beyond space and time and being

But then I remember my lifeline
My ancestors who fought so bravely
And I am astounded by my tenacity
To overcome each obstacle sagely

I have so many stories to tell
So many, many stories indeed
Maybe one day I'll write them up
And share them with the living
