Stranded

Sometimes the hardest words
to say are the ones we mean
the most.
The feelings felt the deepest
play hide and seek with those
closest.
It's hard to see inside the
battered soul and understand
its' mechanics.
The walls are thick and heavily
guarded, only the truth will
pass.
On the surface romance is
eclipsed by fear.
You are loved from a much
deeper place.
Within the shadow filled
hallways lies your place in the
center of it all.
The place where hope and love
meet to discuss eternity.
