stowed away poem

Stored beauty  He was an early riser on a ship bound for Japan the ocean was calm, breathing without haste the sun was glorious  The splendor of the moment, the color of the sea painted golden for this occasion  The pleasure of the ship's pulse a vibration plowing forward her engine was classical music  No one is up so early this moment, of happiness  There had been many moments like this  he had secretly stored in his heart When ashore, he was an alien, drinking too much saw contempt in dark brown eyes An old man, when someone wants to hear  a tale of adventure, he has nothing to say about tales of daring do, keeping his many moments stored in his heart.
