Storms

Sometimes when you hear a storm
It's not because there's thunder,
It's the road that you are walking on
And the weight that you are under...
The burdens weighing on your shoulder
Never seem to lighten,
And even as we all grow older
Most of us keep fighting...
The ones you love become the reason
You have to keep on trying,
Since giving up becomes a lesion
To slowly leave you dying...
The next time that you hear a storm
It may be just another,
But embrace it so it can be worn
While the ones you love take cover...
