Storm of Violence

The day has become so very cold
Sending chills all through my bones
My teeth begin to chatter away
As the wind, it sighs and moans

Clouds above begin to form
The sun now hidden from view
Ocean waves, crash the shore
A storm is starting to brew

That moaning wind is now a howl
Accompanied by the rain
Lightening flashes it's brilliant light
My eyes, they sting with pain

Thunder crackles, not far away
As this storm begins to grow
Run for cover, my senses scream
I stay to watch this show

If you could feel the way I feel
Or see this storm I see
You'd realise that, within our world
Violence is our normality
