Stories that lurk

There’s the stories
I don’t need to know
Of terrible things
In grand awful shows

These stories that lurk
On the edges of time
Wanting to surface
And continue their line

So here I am stuck
With the palatable things
That don’t hurt to remember
And I want to sing.
