Stop the Noise

I just want it to be quiet.
Stop the music, stop the noise,
Stop my brain from playing
With her everlasting toys.

But I must think this through. 
If I stop the music, stop the noise,
Will I stop my brain from playing 
With her necessary toys?

Andrea Dietrich Date: 11/4/2016 7:38:00 PM very good question. ONe to make us ponder. Not exactly on topic, but I almost always have a pop tune playing in my mind when I am most needing to just go to sleep at night. Can't turn it off!!! That is when I would say STOP the noise!! Login to Reply

Gets more beautiful each week. I try to read a quiet book and that helps. I agree that playing on iPad doesn't work. Again, thank you for the nice comment.

Daniel Turner Date: 9/24/2016 9:27:00 AM Some nights I have the same problems. I usually get back up, but then again I do not have to get up in the morning and go to work either. I think the solution is to sit in the dark QUIETLY relaxing about 30 minutes before bedtime. That is supposed to kick in the melatonin. I've tried many things but have learned to wait patiently and just try to rest even if I'm not sleeping. I think a lot of people can relate to this, and it runs in my family.
