Stones

Stones tell stories.
They may be inanimate objects, but they tell us so much
About the history of the world.

Stones tell stories.
They reveal secrets of the earth in which they are found
And of the physical shifts in its layers through time.

Stones tell stories.
Some stones are highly valued.
Diamonds symbolize the beginning of new love, family.

Stones tell stories.
They indicate your birth month
And enhance jewelry, adorning gifts given with love.

Stones tell stories.
In the graveyard, I read the dates on stones
And make up stories in my mind about the people whose names adorn them.

Stones tell stories.
Sometimes these stories are filled with greatness of a life long-lived,
And sometimes they are sad stories of a life that ended too soon.

Stones tell stories.
