Stoned Love
She likes to get high
it heightens her affections
soon we will fly
just below Orion's belt
sailing off the evening breeze...
Awaiting your lips to steal my soul
your tongue or a love stoned kiss
soothing this moonlight drifter tonight
it is raspy cool and the stars are out
flickering on a steel blue horizon...
After nights of smoke and wine
shadows yield to spots of sunshine
we awaken to rooster-crowing sunrise
the blue birds singing through atoms of air
sitting upon a morning cloud...
