Stollen

Sold mainly at Christmas
Similar to fruit cake.
Spiced with ground cinnamon
Studded with candied peel
Sultanas, nuts, raisins
Soft marzipan centre.
Save a big slice for me!

"Stollen" is a delightful little piece. What you've done here is taken a simple subject—a type of bread—and transformed it into something evocative and almost playful. It's a testament to the idea that poetry can be found in the everyday, and you've captured the essence of stollen in a way that's both descriptive and inviting.

it's the only cake that'll take me 3months to consume dear poet. definately need to or even try this, ') yeah, this form...I've only noticed it...Have the Happy New Year Jan, and many more! much love

- My husband's Christmas favorite ... he just has to have this :) - (with butter and brown cheese - there is no marzipan in the one we use here) - I'm not that fond of it - Wishing you a peaceful and happy new year :) - hugs

I am not a fruit cake fan but this is more of a bread like cake made with yeast and its very delicious, i had 2 mini stollen today at our friend's church after a Christmas carol concert:-) hugs Jan xx

I'm not a christmas cake fan but stollen is a different matter all together as I love the marzipan in it. :-) hope you have a fun time with the grand kids Tom:-) hugs jan xx
