Stolen Wedding Ring

For years it shone gold

Brightening a lonely home

Left home for a walk

Late hubby’s ring was stolen

What thief could be so heartless

People always seem to shock me with new lows of depravities! my dad lost his wedding ring in a lake, swimming. Also, my cousin stole my aunt's wedding ring during a drug binge. what a shame! I know a little bit how you feel about that special symbol of your love. After about 40 years of wearing the same wedding ring with a diamond it it about 15 years ago I lost the diamond. I was devastated. My sweetheart took it to a friend who replaced the diamond with a zirconia (a stone that looks like a diamond) but it was just not the same.
