Stole My Heart Away
I am so glad you were the one
Who stole my heart away
To show me how to give and
Receive love each and every day
You showed me how to hold dreams
Deep within my heart
Then to share and express them
Even when we were apart
Words written on a page
And set to music in a song
Expressed to you the love
I felt for so very long
I dreamed of you in my childhood
Of your loving and gentle ways
Of the way you would make me feel
So loved every day
Our love made us into one
As we filled each other’s heart
With love and happy memories
Shall we never be apart
Days of heavenly bliss
Gave way to a nightingale’s song
Filled a summer of contented love
With promises of a marriage strong
