Stillness

She left....
But her phantosmia stayed
I don't want it to ever fade
I feel the quietness

my wrist began to turn red
 from the invisible bind
Time begins to lull
The silence echoes
I stand still

When I close my eyes, she's still here,
It’s incredible
but when i open them
I see her absence
How much longer?

The wind takes her Essence,
the bright colors begin to darken,
I’m colorblind

The silence breaks with a hum,
My body is playing a drum
I don't move

when I retract, I close my eyes once more,
and I can feel her presence press against my back.
She stays
My body turned into stone
She's medusa
So, I stay motionless

Wow ! Quite a powerful rendition of loving and leaving, Maryssa. A serious tight title giving voice to what is articulated. The repeat of stillness and silence is very effective. Effective final two lines. Well done in Brian’s Contest. Keep writing. Sending blessings.
