While my soul finds rest
In the still waters He’s blessed,
There are moments of belief
When I struggle to find relief
But I know He is always there
And I can seek Him with a prayer,
Knowing that He always hears
As He soon quiets my fears.
While my heart needs His still waters,
Just realizing I’m one of His daughters –
Is enough to bring me such serenity,
He is the wonderful that brings amenity.
I remember, as I walk through this life
He is the answer to relieve all my strife.
His still waters reassure my very soul,
Proving to me that love can make me whole.
While my life is nothing more than a vapor,
I struggle on, writing all my words on paper
Hoping that Jesus will see how I love Him,
With heart and soul, when hopes grow dim.
I know that His love will keep me from hurting.
He is the right who I seek, remarkable converting.
He is the One who sings light into my spirit,
He sings the best song, and I’ll always hear it!
It’s a song of still waters, who abide where He goes,
Reassuring my soul that He died and arose –
Wherever He is, that is where I’ll chose to be,
He is the voice much louder than the sea.
On the still waters, where love finds its nerve,
There is a hope and a prayer – though I don’t deserve
The miracle of a God who is full of sweet love,
A gracious Creator who sent His Son from above!
