Still Virtual
I’ll agree to a virtual visit
With the people I can’t see for real.
The hugs and the closeness are missing
But it does have a certain appeal.
I’ll accept taking virtual classes.
There’s a lot the instructor can teach.
Though with projects that need supervision,
There are some that the teacher won’t reach.
Yet a virtual trip is a no-no.
I won’t pay to watch someone on screen
Walk through Harlem or Prague or the Catskills
And describe sights I wish I had seen.
How I miss all I once did in person!
The travel, the meetings with friends,
All the courses, museums and theater
I’ll resume if this mess ever ends.
