Still the One
We married young and ventured on our trail,
not knowing what our journey would entail
to reach our goals- precarious, or rife,
together in our rendezvous with life.
As we combined our special pathways planned-
our winding roads led us to places grand,
and with finesse, we blended our unique
hopes, heading to a higher mountain peak.
We started, hand in hand, to walk our miles
with ecstasy or sadness, firm our smiles.
A time for us, together- come what may-
together, we shall always want to stay.
So many years have passed- we are so blessed
still on our path- we travel to the crest.
A wedding anniversary just passed;
for sixty years now, our true love did last.
