Still the One
Her first taste of romance was a slow dance in the park
Stars and fireflies joined the moon and pushed away the dark
Things that had been dull before took on a brand new shine
A man she had not known before now became just "mine"
Laughter now came easily a trait she'd never known
Then she lost the inborn need - the need to be alone
She could see the sunset hues and name them all in turn
Then understand it was love that made the candle burn
Now some forty years have passed when comes the morning sun
She smiles at his wrinkled face and knows he's still the one
