Still Searching

Music in the distance lets us know there is always hope

Thinking of a new dawn we slip into a sweet reverie

A darkening sky signals rainfall

Yet though a storm is brewing, we continue with our quest

It will take us deep into the heart of the hills

Where is the pale king?

We await his return and search for him

Even as pizzicato tones are heard, we look for the ruler of all things

Our hearts and souls are ready for the sacrifices we must make

The path is a difficult one

But we are certain we will find what we are looking for

When we do wine will flow and music will resound in the hills

Golden flowers will grow where there was only a rock strewn path

As the rain begins we come closer

Become closer to finding the one who will ease our pain

Get closer to the pale king

Who is waiting for our arrival

On the other side of eternity

Oh Matthew I absolutely am in love with this poem. Such strength of hope, of what will come to pass. You always make me believe and feel that 'knowing', too. There is power in this spiritual write, there is a power in your own beautiful spirit, and I sense it deeply. So wonderful to read. Love, Shar

I can hear the music in your words, a loving, longing symphony from one who searches for "the pale king." The hope and anticipation is magnificently created. Outstanding work, Matthew!
