The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Still Passion

Isolated deep within an ocean out to sea.
A drop of rain is looking for a ray of light to see.
Knowing deep within tomorrows dream.
The ocean floors existed far beyond the moonlights beam.

Everyday has a way to start it all again.
Yesterdays keep piling up, saying you can't win.
But hope is hope, it's become quite the fashion.
Like the painting there up on the wall, still passion.

Inspiration comes, inspiration goes, everybody knows.
But lost within a broken spirit, it's there, but never shows.
The different shades of ennui have faded in the light.
As a soul becomes too weary to ever set things right.

A seed awaiting it's rebirth.
To break the crust of this cold earth.
Hoping for that drop of rain.
To end this endless lost refrain.

well, I LOVE the way you roll. We can't all be happy poets all the time singing of rainbows and butterflies. This is really good stuff. I especially love the last refrain!
