Still Paintings

Still paintings are portraits of you Pristine pictures once, twice, shining anew With various colors some bold others cool Drawing a stark contrast of your many hues Which color describes you best? Never knowing what to expect Paintings like you are never dull Exciting, tantalizing portraits hanging on walls Admiring them from afar Each revealing pattern disecting every part Drawing me in with every look Absorbing every inch like words of a book Wondering what picture to draw next Like skipping chapters in a text Going to the very end for the ever after That final painting of you and I in laughter

What more could I ask for today? It is a beautiful day the sun shining and birds singing. I am reading your poetry in which you share a little of yourself maybe without even realizing it you have written from your soul. Thank you for sharing your wonderful poetry with us Taina. Love, Carol
