The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Still, Moving

STILL, MOVING

Argue not for love,
it is but a passageway
not a stately room adorned
with silk brocade and golden tassels;
it is the wine
not the rowdy drunkenness to follow.
And I am not the kitchen
nor the creative cook
but the dog-eared recipe book.
Doors will open,
harsh words will slam them shut;
for the stew to simmer
you must keep the lid on
leave the tasting for later.
If you are a seeker
then the way will be hidden
but if you move in stillness
all truths will be shown to you.
