Still In the Night

Singing I love you
I’m going to miss you dear
Singing for the backs against your wall
Here’s to life
And everything we cannot have

Outside the bar and into the hills
The dust settles itself
Once as a man he knew it all
Now the pavement
Will not break his fall

Singing for the nights
I missed you dear
Singing for the nights
That you’re still here

Sing us away from the shadows of the sky
A melody for the days that pass us by
Yonder toward the gates of eternity
Sing us away from the morning please

After the sun is at its best and fine
She uncorks a bottle of the sinners wine
We dine, we sing
We know not what the other means

Singing for the nights
I missed you dear
Singing for the nights
That you’re still here
