The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Still Hopeful By Amy Matthew Ascap C)2005

v1) oh my heart is beating uncontrollably
because i dont know how to say this
there are a million thoughts
racing circles in my mind..
how do you admit a secret
that could possibly destroy your life
that could turn even your closest friends against you
without ever knowing why??
yes im afraid but..

ch) i am still hopeful
that your gonna love me
i am praying out loud
that you wont desert me now
i have to get the courage
to be proud of who iam
so even if you disagree and are afraid..
please remember as i say this
that i am still a man..

v2) many before me
have died for their individuality
they fought for their love
and for their heart to bleed
so here i am trembling before you
putting nothing but my faith
and love in your hands
so please dont turn your back right now
when what i need the most is a friend..my friend

ch) repeat

bridge: i am stronger now that i have been for my whole life
i broke the chains that had been tearing at my heart
i saw you smile
and a weight was lifted from my shoulders
when you pulled me in your arms and held me tight
yah now iam still hopeful..that one day we can all be free!!
