Still Dumbstruck - Dk

Lindsay, the front line doctors and many reputable virologists I am reading say totally different things than the media's "science" . I feel that I have learned things that many of society are not getting from the media. One has to search it out on other news sources. What I have learned contrasts greatly with the "accepted" ideas. People are accepting the hype on the news because it's all they hear. I believe in a strong immune system and in "not having fear" of covid. Even though I know there is very small chance it could kill me, I prefer to listen to the professionals who do not have a vested interest in Big Pharma and their vaccine. Nuff said. We are all free I hope to form our own opinions and not force things on people against their human rights.

and no, I do not mind at all if you wear a mask. I am around people in the store who wear masks even now. Of course I would never be rude to them. Do you honestly think it is logical to wear a mask while swimming in a pool or driving long distance in a car? I was only joking about unrealistic wearing of masks!!

you did not really read my poem very carefully or you would notice i did not say anything about it being wrong to wear a mask. Though I personally do not believe in it, that is my own business. I am not playing with anybody's life. I keep to myself and there is no proof that an asymptomatic person can spread Covid, so the few times i go out, I am certainly not putting anyone at risk. We have no mask mandates right now. All my friends recovered from Covid and I thankfully never got it. The chances of getting it, much less dying from it, are extremely small. I listen to front line doctors and famous virologists who are speaking a truth different from mainstream media.

It is good to hear it is not mandated there now. We can expect the mandates to return, even for the vaccinated in fall and winter. I hear main stores like Walmart will be gearing up.

i wasn't aiming my comment at you, andrea, i know you don't buy into it all :) we don't have to wear them any more in the uk, it's been lifted, but the vast majority are still wearing them anyway wherever they go!

I know all that, Charlotte. I was trying to be "sensitive" to the mask wearers and some of them still took me wrong. I do not wear them at all. I only did it when I was forced to until a few months ago (at this one store I really love shopping at). I probably wore it once a week to go to that place for a little while.

of course anyone can swim without a mask. That is why it was so dang funny to see a person doing it and there was not even mandate for a mask at that time!

thanks, Joe. i am taking a lot of heat for my ideals. My brother in law just blasted me on FB. I have a cousin who seems to hate me now. it's so weird. I have no animosity toward these relatives of mine,but sometimes they really do cross the line with me and can be very insulting.

I did that once too, Susan . Between two shops I had to go to which were close together. I drove with the mask and then bet I looked foolish. The line i wrote said people who drive FAR with masks on.

I have no problem with people protecting their health if they feel masks are the way to go. I was poking fun at the extremists.

Milt, there is no danger inside one's own car, swimming in one's own swimming lane or out alone in nature. Nobody in those three situations would be in any danger. I applaud you for being careful in public. Nothing wrong with that!!
