Still As the Moon
Under the sunset the lake was still as the moon
a Reflection like a fine painting
mirrored in the darkness of the night
Sitting by the edge of the water,
my head upon your chest
listening to the beat of your heart,
like rain falling from the sky
The stars, like pure crystal, dangling from above
Cast a soft mist to your chocolate skin
Your hand gently caressed my body,
the night air is very warm
Wrapped in your arms, I calmly feel safe
By the warmth of your love
Your eyes spoke of words unsaid
I knew I had found the love
I have been searching for all my life
That night, as we sat by the water edge
I fell in love with you over and over again
