Still Alive
Many of us are lost between time.
Blaming God for the lives we designed.
Look in the mirror before peeking through the blinds.
Kind parents whose children are distraught
From an electronic generation where failure is bought.
And criminal activities are purposely sought
For social acceptance.
I am the youth.
I am racially off balanced and judicially challenged.
My ego and severely stupid choices drowned my talents.
I am the youth.
I am committed to change.
I've learned to love life and live through the pain.
I've been disowned by my own but inside a strong spirit remains
Let us violate the past..
When we dreamed of what we wanted
Now all we do is dream of what we had.
I am the 90s baby in a 2000s mask.
I am my choices.
I am my past.
