The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Still

Sad birds still fly
Bumpy roads still ply
Struggling feet still try
Though tears fill the eye

Before the mirror
Seeking the image's lore
Meeting the persona you once knew
Yet understand no more

The sudden quietness
The familiar emptiness
Thoughts lingering in circles
Yet the heart is still
