BEES ARE THE BEST! I am fine but getting ready to place my dad in a Veteran’s home if they will take him. The wait time is a year. It’s a hard decisions. Also, prepping for Wildfire Evacs. and cleaning the “Black Hole” (my garage). I thought retirement was suppose to be more time for writing but it has landmines hidden here and there. How is your summer Connie?

Looks like we have an intoxicated bumblebee, Edlynn! Those pollen toes could also be point shoes, though I can't imagine it dancing:) ~ Warm regards // paul

It’s clearly drunk with pollen and wearing heavy shoes! Such are the bees here! Nice to see you!

Thank you so much. I haven’t written very much in this genre. I find the longer poems easier. Give me time to get better. On my way to visit a couple of yours!

Love this haiku. Description right on. Bumblebees look to be too heavy to fly with those very small wings - yet they certainly do. Another fine haiku.

Thanks Robert! Not only that, but then they are weighted down by and covered in pollen. I just found out that two of them can curl up in the center of a flower (looking like they are the center) and they go to sleep. They can sleep up to 5 hours a day. Who knew that? Not me.
