Stick With It

Pay no mind to the others,
Clueless to you and your goals.
They huddle up like calling plays,
Just know your route play by play.

People love to hear themselves,
Seek joy in whispers and gossip.
Talk crap about your ethics,
They lack your continuous effort.

Too focused to pay them mind,
Bring my hopes and dreams to life.
It may take me longer than I want,
I will still get to the place I want.

I don’t care how talkers see me,
Simply trying to be the best me.
Imperative that I stick the course,
Keep my balance stay on the horse.
