Sthandwa

Sthandwa
Sthandwa sthandwa
I scrawled her name a hundred hundred times
Carved it onto every Inch of my heart
Painted it across the canvas of my mind
Sthandwa
Sthandwa sthandwa
A constellation in the dark abyss
My guiding light
So far away
Yet, like a sun
Warms my heart
Sthandwa
Each day is agony
Away from you
Life loses all hope and flounders
I suffer in a cage
Waiting for you to rescue
Sthandwa, you’re re all I think of
The world is a maelstrom of incoherence
But your voice is the eye of the storm
Calming and saving me
You are my true salvation
Sthandwa
I’d always be lost without you
East is West and North is south
Up is down, and in is out
I stand here spinning on my axis
Once more, waiting for your hands to steady me
Sthandwa
I’ve called your name a thousand times
Whispered it in my sleep
And lived it in every breath
Sthandwa…

“If you were a tear in my eye, I would never cry, for fear of losing you”
